Trauma Recovery

Trauma can affect how we think, feel, and relate to ourselves and others long after a difficult experience has ended. You may find yourself struggling with anxiety, guilt, shame, anger, self-doubt, nightmares, avoidance, or feeling constantly on edge. Many people begin to wonder why they can't simply "move on."

The truth is that trauma can change the way we make sense of ourselves, other people, and the world around us. Recovery is not about forgetting what happened—it's about understanding its impact, reclaiming your sense of safety, and moving forward in a way that aligns with your values and goals.

How I Can Help

I help adults recover from trauma using Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and other evidence-based approaches that are supported by research and recognized as best practices in trauma treatment. Together, we will explore how traumatic experiences may have shaped the beliefs and patterns that are keeping you stuck and work toward developing healthier, more balanced perspectives.

My goal is not to create dependence on therapy. Instead, I aim to empower you with practical skills, strategies, and insights that help you become your own therapist over time. Through a collaborative and supportive process, you'll learn tools that can continue supporting your recovery long after our work together ends.
